Personal refection about the cultural revolution from the narrator’s point of view
This “revolution” is destroying china in so many ways it’s heartbreaking. The intelligence is diminishing and those who maintain the knowledge are persecuted as enemies of the state. The logic is baffling. Why would anyone think that this would improve china? We are forced to do work that we will never do again as if it would help. Even if we did all become farmers industrial development would stop altogether. It’s putting us back a century and we will be volurable to every possible hazard in today’s world.

village character

My character name is Jyrki Lordi Nevalainen. Jyrki is from Helsinki Finland he moved here with his mother after his father died of unknown causes. He learned english when he was living in Helsinki however he has been having trouble keeping up socialy with others in Bankwood. He recently discoved that his release is to travel to new places and countinually be discovering new things.

anitgony

Anitgony is and extreme feminist and she is being treated differently because\she is a woman. Creon would defiantly be less polite and he would not hold back any sort of harsh feelings for Antigony had she have been a man. She is getting away with burying the dead against the will of others, she is not being punished the way a man would have been. This to me is not right I believe that women are capable of doing anything that a man can. Since this is true women should be subject t to the same responsibilities, punishments, and rules that men are.

• part I question 2- this story is a prime example of dramatic irony and tragety. Part II
  Question one- the lines that sum up Oedipus and in my opinion can be found on pages 962 they are lines 26 and 27. They set him up for his great tragedy yet these lines embody what he is about.
  Question 2- Oedipus has no idea that he is the man he is looking for.
  Question 3- we can see this powerful man and his advisory deep in tough yet they are clueless and we pity them because we know what they are looking for.
  Question 4- irony and tragedy are present motifs.
  Question 5- they are foreshadowing things to come
  Part III
  Question one- the passage right after it says that Teiresias is brought in on page 968 explains who he is. Lines 14-16 on page 967 reveal more of what he knows and of who he is.
  Question two- the city will remain in peril until the murder is brought to justice. However the man is the same person they are looking for, yet even he doesn’t know this.
  Question three- at the beginning Oedipus is flattering himself when he is talking about his victory over the sphinx and again when he is talking about how the murder shall be punished.
  Question four- I would like to argue that the whole story is dramatic irony. We know the truth that Oedipus is looking for. He is looking for the murder yet it is he who murdered. Also his wife is his mother, we know this yet he doesn’t. We know that he killed his father but he doesn’t it is all dramatic irony.
  Question five- what Oedipus is looking for is he.
  Question six- it is revealing the truth about the murder.
